When you think of Christmas traditions here in California you might conjure up images of decorating the tree, making cookies for Santa Claus, or wrapping gifts.
Now think worldwide.
KFWB’s Maggie McKay spoke to Orange County Register pop culture reporter Peter Larsen about unique traditions celebrated around the world this holiday season.

Tio de Nadal, known as the Christmas log to families in the Catalan region of Spain, is a piece of hollowed out wood that children “feed” with treats and candies throughout the month of December. On Christmas, they beat the log with sticks until it “poops” out the treats. (Image credit: azweird.com).
