
Thought medicine was a fool-proof business? Think again.
An increasing number of doctors nationwide are going broke, according to financial experts.
Industry watchers said the trend is hitting a wide range of specialties, including family physicians, cardiologists and oncologists. Since about half of all doctors in the nation run private practices, a growing number of failing businesses could undercut a vital healthcare resource.
KFWB’s Maggie McKay spoke with Marc Lion, a financial advisor to medical professionals, to find out the reasons behind this trend.
