Police are searching for the killer of a high school soccer star who was shot multiple times Wednesday in Winnetka.
Paul Rodriguez Jr., 17, was found lying in the front yard of a residence in the 6900 block of Cozycroft Avenue just after 6 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Investigators said there could be more than one suspects involved in the shooting that has rattled students.
KFWB’s John Brooks spoke with students outside of El Camino Real High School in Woodland Hills where Rodriguez played.
Police said Rodriguez had no gang ties and the incident was not a drive by shooting. Police hope neighbors in the area will be able to assist with details about the suspects.
