Weirdest excuses bosses hear for arriving late

Have you ever told your boss you were late because your cat was hiccupping?

The annual list of the most outrageous excuses for showing up late to work is out thanks to Career Builder. The job site’s senior career advisor Michael Erwin said about 16 percent of workers admit to being late at least once a week, which could lead to problems since about a third of employers reported firing an employee for arriving late.

KFWB’s Maggie McKay spoke with the job site’s  senior career advisor Michael Erwin to find out the common and not so common reasons people are late.
