The iconic Hollywood theater is asking to get out of its contract for naming rights to the theater in the Hollywood Highland complex as part of its bankruptcy.
This is just the latest blow to the Kodak Theater, after the Academy Awards announced in December that it was exercising a clause in its contract that would allow the Oscars to leave the venue after the 2013 show.
KFWB’s Maggie McKay and Michael Shappee talked with Leron Gubler, president and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, to find out what the developments mean for the city.
