Who let the dogs out?
Unleashed dogs could soon be running free on a five-acre stretch of coastline in Rancho Palos Verdes. City leaders there are scheduled to vote tomorrow on such a proposal. A packed house is expected for the meeting to debate the pros and cons of the plan.
Supporters say dog owners and their pets get much-needed exercise and camaraderie from the experience. Critics raise issues of pollution, feces and aggressive dogs.
Rancho Palos Verdes Beach– formerly a privately owned stretch that was given to the city about a year ago — lies below the Trump National Golf Club on Ocean Trails Drive.
What do you think — should this area be opened to unleashed dogs?
