New security measures for SAT takers
If you’ve got a student planning to take the SAT or ACT soon, listen up.
When your student submits their application, make sure they provide a copy of their photo ID. It’s part of new security initiatives announced today in light of some 20 current or former New York high school students who were caught in a cheating scheme.
In that scandal, students paid as much as $3,500 to have someone take the SAT for them. And, according to prosecutors, security at one exam site was so lax a male student got away with posing as a female.
