One moment students were in a hall protesting against rising tuition at Santa Monica College and the next minute many had police pepper spray in their eyes. Now, a school investigation is underway.
KFWB’s Paul Lowe explained the situation to Phil Hulett and Andi Marshall:
Santa Monica College officials are now wanting to learn the circumstances of what led police to use of pepper spray, and they indicate the school will pay for the hospital bills. Students say use of pepper spray was unnecessary.
