(AP) – The remains of five American soldiers killed in Afghanistan will be returned to Dover Air Force Base.
Pentagon officials identified the six as: Staff Sgt. Ricardo Seija of Tampa, Fla.; Spc. Cameron J. Stambaugh of Spring Grove, Pa.; Spc. Clarence Williams III of Brooksville, Fla.; Pfc. Trevor B. Adkins of Spring Lake, N.C.; and Pfc. Alejandro J. Pardo of Porterville, Calif.
The bodies will be returned to Dover early Thursday.
The Pentagon did not immediately identify in which incidents the men were killed. NATO officials say six Americans were killed in a bombing in eastern Afghanistan on Sunday and a seventh American died that day in a separate attack in southern Afghanistan.
