Police Hunt For Driver In Deadly OC Crash
SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — Police are searching for the driver of a white minivan who may have caused a two-vehicle crash that killed a man in Santa Ana.
Police Cmdr. Larry Coleman tells the Orange County Register (http://bit.ly/MxKgLA ) that the minivan turned onto a busy thoroughfare Sunday and caused a Pontiac Trans Am to swerve and collide with an SUV.
Coleman says the SUV smashed through the side of the Pontiac, killing the Trans Am’s sole passenger. The driver of the Trans Am was hospitalized. Their names were not released.
The driver of the minivan did not stop. Coleman says investigators don’t know if the minivan driver was aware of the crash.
The Register says an elderly female passenger in the SUV was transported to a local hospital complaining of pain. Three other people in the SUV were not hurt.
