(CNS) – A man who exposed himself to an 11-year-old girl and her 10-year-old sister in Sylmar remained at large today.
The suspect approached the girls about 7 p.m. Sunday while they were walking near the Sylmar Leadership Academy in the 14500 block of Bledsoe Street, said Los Angeles police Lt. Paul Vernon.
The siblings told police that the man drove around the block several times, and then stopped and called them over to his vehicle.
“When the girls refused to approach, the driver exposed himself,” Vernon said. “The sisters ran home to report the incident to their mom, who called police.”
Officers checked nearby Sylmar Park, which the man was thought to frequent, but he was not there. Police were in the process of preparing a composite sketch of the suspect, described as a white man in his 20s with dark hair, Vernon said.
The man was driving a black or dark blue, older-model Jeep with a hard top. He wore a light green shirt and dark green shorts.
Anyone knowing his whereabouts was urged to call LAPD Mission Station detectives, (818) 838-9971; or Crimestoppers, (800) 222-TIPS.
