(CNS) – A 23-year-old man was behind bars today for allegedly administering a fatal dose of heroin to a 13-year-old boy at a Woodland Hills home. Brett Cronin was arrested Wednesday in connection with the death of the teen, whose name was not released, according to the Los Angeles Police Department and jail records. Cronin remains jailed in Van Nuys in lieu of $1 million bail.
Officers responded around 9:10 a.m. Wednesday to a home in the 5300 block of Manton Avenue and found the 13-year-old boy’s body, according to Richard French of the LAPD. “Homicide detectives … determined that a resident at the location, 23- year-old Brett Cronin, had administered the fatal dose of heroin to the victim,” French said.
French said the motive for the killing remained under investigation.
