What is it? Basically taking photos with your phone and manipulating the images with apps. It’s called mobile art, or iPhoneography, and brings old and new ideas together.
To get a little bit of explanation I asked Daria Polichetti, iPhone Art co-founder and L.A. Mobile Art Festival producer, about it:
The inaugural LA Mobile Arts Festival is an eight-day event that will showcase the best in iPhoneography and other forms of mobile digital art. Hosted in Santa Monica and featuring over 225 artists from over 30 countries and 25 U.S. states, exhibiting over 600 images, sculptures, films and installations.
