Copper thieves hit Fullerton schools
(CNS) – Fullerton police asked today for the public’s help tracking down copper thieves who have mined the air conditioning units of three schools in recent weeks. The thieves struck at night at Nicolas Junior High and Richman and Laguna Road elementary schools in recent weeks, costing the school district more than $30,000, according to Fullerton police Sgt. Jeff Stuart.
It was not immediately known if the air conditioning units at the schools would be repaired by the time classes begin next Monday.
