INDIO, Calif. (AP) – U.S. Border Patrol agents have found more than $400,000 worth of methamphetamine hidden in a car stopped at a Southern California desert checkpoint.

Drug-sniffing dogs alerted agents when the Honda Civic was stopped Friday at the Highway 86 checkpoint south of Indio. A dozen packages of methamphetamine were found hidden in the door panels.
