LA's 911 questions delay dispatches

LOS ANGELES (AP) – A new study says required questioning by 911 operators has been delaying the dispatching of Los Angeles paramedics and the start of life-saving CPR. The LA Times reports an internal audit shows dispatchers waste valuable time getting callers to start CPR on cardiac-arrest victims. The report raises concerns about the scripted questions dispatchers are required to ask.
