Now that Space Shuttle Endeavour is safe and sound at LAX we can turn out attention to the weekend and a couple of things that sound fun to do.
First off the Dance Project Sat and Sun Dance at The Music Center kicks off its 2012-2013 season with LA Dance Project, a new project and world premiere by film and stage choreographer by Benjamin Millepied. The project creates new work and revives seminal collaborations of the past. If you’ve never been to the Walt Disney Concert Hall it’s a double treat. 111 S. Grand Ave., downtown, 323.850.2000. musiccenter.org
OR if you have little ones the Tarfest might be more up your alley. Tarfest Music and Art Festival happens Saturday (September 22). The premiere arts and culture event features musical performances by Blondfire, So Many Wizards, The Makepeace Brothers and more; public sculpture, Lagunitas biergarten, wine bar and food trucks. 2-9 p.m. 5801 Wilshire Blvd., L.A. tarfest.com
And of course there’s always the beach to bring it the first official weekend of FALL! Enjoy!
