Southland gas prices fall slightly
LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County recorded its sixth consecutive slight decline today, dropping three-tenths of a cent to $4.143.
The average price of $4.149 is eight-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, but eight-tenths of a cent more than one month ago and 24.3 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
None of the declines over the past six days has been more than three- tenths of a cent.
The Orange County average price fell today for the 15th time in 16 days, dropping four-tenth of a cent to $4.112. It is six-tenths of a cent less than one week ago and two-tenths of a cent lower than one month ago but 24.2 cents higher than one year ago. The Orange County average price has dropped 4.5 cents over the past 16 days, including two-tenths of a cent on Tuesday.
