Police ask for help in 'Knock-knock' burglaries
LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Police asked for the public’s help to track down four members of a “knock-knock” burglary crew targeting homes in West Los Angeles and Beverly Hills.
Around 4:10 p.m. Sept. 4, the suspects knocked on the door of a home in the 12600 block of West Sunset Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. When no one answered, they tried to use a side gate to access the rear yard, but were confronted in the driveway by someone who came out of the home, police said.
One of the suspects punched the victim in the face, knocking the resident to the ground, police said. The suspects left in a four-door 1998-2003 black Lincoln Continental with the partial license plate 4k-k— or 4k-k3–.
All the suspects were 18- to 25-years-old. One wore a white tank top with brown shorts and blue shoes.
Anyone with information was asked to call Detective C. White at (310) 444-1522 or 1524.
