Wanted parolee holed up inside OC hotel
ANAHEIM (CNS) – A wanted parolee-at-large believed to be armed and dangerous has been barricaded inside a hotel in Anaheim for more than eight hours today, police officials said.
The barricade began around 10 a.m. at a Ramada Inn in the 2100 block of South Harbor Boulevard, according to Sgt. Bob Dunn of the Anaheim Police Department.
Police were sent to the location to assist in the apprehension of a wanted parolee at large described as armed and dangerous, Dunn said. “The subject ran inside the location and barricaded himself in with two female adults,” he said.
One of the women came out on her own, and she told police the man likely was armed and the other woman inside was there on her own will, Dunn said.
“We have been in communication with the female and the subject, and we’re working on negotiations now,” Dunn said about 6:45 p.m. No injuries were immediately reported.
