BORREGO SPRINGS, Calif. (AP) — A magnitude-4.2 earthquake has hit the San Diego County desert but there have been no reports of damage or injuries.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake struck at 5:39 p.m. Sunday. It was centered 17 miles southeast of Borrego Springs, which is about 90 miles northeast of San Diego.
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said there no reports of damage or injuries.
KGTV-TV reports that its viewers in the eastern part of the county reported feeling the quake.
