INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) – Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies have been involved in a crash that killed a bicyclist.
The Sheriff’s Department says a patrol car and the bike rider collided shortly before 1:30 a.m. Monday in Inglewood.
The rider died from his injuries. His name hasn’t been released. The deputies weren’t hurt.
Authorities say the deputies had tried to contact the bicyclist because they believed he had a gun. However, the gun hasn’t been found and details of how the accident occurred haven’t been released.
