WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) – Polls suggest President Barack Obama holds an edge in the hunt for the 270 electoral votes needed to take the White House.
But, with early voting under way and just three weeks to go, the presidential election appears either candidate’s race to win.
National polls suggest Mitt Romney has drawn even – thanks to a boost of enthusiasm following a strong first debate performance 10 days ago. There are just three weeks to go until the election and voting is well under way in many states.
Democrats are looking for an aggressive Obama to show up for the prime-time town-hall style debate in Hempstead, N.Y. He’s in Williamsburg, Va., Saturday night preparing for Tuesday’s town hall-style debate. In his weekly media address, Obama hailed the U.S. auto industry’s rebound since the government bailout.
Romney spent nearly four hours Saturday morning preparing for the debate, but he’s not taking his eyes off the stakes in Ohio. After huddling with advisers in a Columbus hotel, Romney is making two campaign stops in the stop before returning to Massachusetts for more debate work.
