Clippers prevail over the Heat

The Clippers won their first game of the pre-season, defeating the world champion Miami Heat 99-89 on Sunday afternoon at the Mercedez Benz Arena in Shanghai.
The Clippers (1-2) led by 10 after one and led by as many as 20 points during the third quarter.
Chris Paul made his pre-season debut after sitting out the first two games recovering from off-season thumb surgery, and recorded six assists in 22 minutes.
DeAndre Jordan led the Clippers with 18 points on eight for eight shooting from the field, and is shooting 82% from the field in the pre-season.
The Clippers will play their first pre-season game at STAPLES Center Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. against the Utah Jazz. Clippers Countdown on KFWB News Talk 980 and the Clippers Radio Network begins at 7 p.m.
