Suspect subdued with stun gun and hogtied dies
EASTVALE, Calif. (AP) – A suspected prowler has died after being subdued with stun guns and hogtied by Riverside County deputies. Investigators say deputies answering the prowler call in Eastvale early Sunday chased the man after he tried to break into a house. Eastvale is north of Norco in western Riverside County.
The Riverside Press-Enterprise says there was a struggle and deputies shocked him with Taser stun guns at least twice before he was tied up.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound suspect stopped breathing and died at a hospital. His name hasn’t been released, but witnesses tell KCBS-TV he’s a 27-year-old Corona man.
