Every year since he was little, I take my son to a very special family owned pumpkin patch in Ventura called McGrath’s.
They have loads of pumpkins, big and small, gourds, multicolored unusual pumpkins and the highlight…. a slow moving tractor ride.

For the little ones there are pony rides and a petting zoo of sorts with goats and llamas.
Parking is easy as can be and so is getting there: right off the 101 fwy off at Victoria.
They have taco makers on scene if you work up an appetite.
GREAT for taking pictures on the scenic acres and acres of farmland. The day we were there they had pumpkin carving classes too….worth the drive!
