LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County fell today below what it was one month ago, thanks to the 22nd consecutive daily decrease.
The average price fell 3.1 cents to $4.162, 24.1 cents less than it was one week ago and 1.1 cents lower than one month ago but 29.5 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has fallen 54.3 cents over the past 22 days after rising 50.4 cents over the previous seven days and reaching a record high of $4.705.
The Orange County average price also fell below what it was one month ago, dropping 3.5 cents to $4.108, 26.5 cents less than one week ago and 4.2 cents lower than one month ago but 26.6 cents higher than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has decreased for 23 consecutive days, dropping 58.2 cents over that span, after rising 51.3 cents over the previous six days to a record high of $4.69.
