LOS ANGELES (AP) – Authorities in Los Angeles say a woman has been found dead in the trunk of a car in Azusa.

The Los Angeles sheriff’s department says a man found the car parked on his property Tuesday in Azusa, east of Los Angeles, and had it towed away. The tow truck driver discovered the woman’s body in the trunk at the tow yard.

The sheriff’s department has called the death suspicious although they did not disclose a cause of death. It was not immediately clear how the body got into the trunk.

The Los Angeles County coroner plans an autopsy to determine the woman’s identity and cause of death.
