2 injured in workplace stabbing near LA airport
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) — Police say a workplace argument led to a man slashing and stabbing two coworkers with a large knife or cutting instrument in an industrial area near Los Angeles International Airport.
El Segundo police Lt. Ray Garcia says police were called at around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday to the workplace, where they were told suspect Nery K. Ramos had run away after the stabbing.
Garcia says when officers found Ramos a short time later he had changed shirts and was trying to flee the area.
Ramos was arrested without incident and is being held on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
Both victims were taken to local hospitals where one was listed in serious condition.
Police could not immediately say what kind of business the workplace is.
