TORRANCE, Calif. (AP) – Southern California authorities say three people have died in what appears to be a double murder-suicide shooting at a high-rise senior citizen complex in Torrance.
Police Sgt. Robert Watt says an elderly man is believed to have fatally shot two women before turning the gun on himself in the lobby of the Golden West Tower apartments shortly after noon Tuesday.
Watt says the victims have not been identified yet and the motive is unknown.
One of the female victims is believed to have been an employee.
Witnesses are being interviewed and police are trying to recover surveillance footage.
