Seems that former Laker — now Philadelphia 76ers center — Andrew Bynum injured his knee … bowling.
That inspired one web site to list the top bizarre injuries of all time and one is too good not to check and see if it’s true.
Legend has it… ’bout 90 years ago… a Boston Red Sox player named Clarence Blethen… had a set of false teeth he used to put in his back pocket when he played.
One game in 1923 … he slid hard into second base trying to break up a double play… and, I quote … “his false chompers supposedly bit him on the rear, which led to a bloody mess that forced him out of the game.”
Yep. Knocked out of a game when he bit HIMSELF in the rear.
