LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles firefighters are conducting a rescue operation in a construction trench in Pacific Palisades.

Two construction workers were reported trapped in a trench collapse around 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

Fire Department spokesman Erik Says one man has been removed and a second person remains trapped.

The trench is part of a storm water diversion project at Temescal Canyon Park.
