Beverly Hills BMW driver sought for ramming bike
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) — Beverly Hills police are seeking the driver of a white BMW after the motorist rammed a bicycle rider in an apparent road-rage incident.
Lt. Lincoln Hoshino says surveillance video shows the luxury vehicle’s driver intentionally ramming the bicyclist, pinning him to a metal trash bin.
The April 3 evening rush hour incident apparently started with a road-rage confrontation in which the bicyclist punched the driver in the face.
Police say the driver threatened to kill the bicyclist, drove after him into an alley and rammed the rider.
The bike rider sustained non-life threatening injuries. The driver is being sought on suspicion of attempted murder.
The car might have minor front-end damage.
