LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped to its lowest amount since Feb. 1 today, decreasing 1.1 cents to $3.932.
The average price has dropped 22 consecutive days and 50 times in 51 days, falling 36.8 cents over that span, including six-tenths of a cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 5.6 cents less than one week ago, 18.5 cents lower than one month ago and 26.6 cents below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price dropped 1.1 cents today to $3.893, its lowest amount since Jan. 31. It is 5.8 cents less than one week ago, 19 cents lower than one month ago and 27.6 cents below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price has dropped 53 times in the past 57 days, falling 42.2 cents, including 1.1 cents on Wednesday. It had increased 33 times in 34 days before the decreases began, rising 59.7 cents.
