Small quakes strike Ventura County

PASADENA (CNS) – Two small earthquakes struck Ventura County today, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

   The first temblor struck at 2:05 a.m. at a depth of 13 miles with a magnitude of 3.5, its epicenter six miles northeast of Ventura, and the second — measuring 3.7 — 12 seconds later, at 2:06 a.m., six miles under the surface and 14 miles north of Ventura, according to computer-generated USGS reports.

   Neither report was immediately reviewed by a seismologist.
