Do me a solid
OK. It’s obviously a very serious story that Korean-American Kenneth Bay has been sentenced to 15 years hard labor in North Korea.
Yet somehow former NBA whack job Dennis Rodman has inserted himself into it. He made a surprise visit to North Korea sometime back and we learned that the head honcho there, Kim Jung-Un, is a big fan. So Dennis sent out this tweet to Kim (and I promise you… I’m not making up a word of this):
“I’m calling on the Supreme Leader of North Korea or as I call him ‘Kim’, to do me a solid and cut Kenneth Bay loose.” End quote.
“Do me a solid.” It’s in the Urban Dictionary. It means a favor. First used in the Seinfeld episode “the Jacket” in 1991.
And if you want to be hip with the kids, use phrases from 20-year-old television shows.
