It’s all about Mom this weekend, there are some many cool events but just a few are:

#1. For the mom who LOVES her music the House of Blues Gospel Brunch.  Once a Sunday staple, the House of Blues famous Gospel Brunch is now reserved for special occasions like Mother’s Day.

#2.  If mom is more into acting, how about a mother-themed play?  My Mother’s Keeper at Electric Lodge in Venice is “about relationships, how each generation is affected by the next, and ultimately about finding meaning and forgiveness in the past.”

#3.  If you’ve got a new mom with little ones, there are a bunch of shows playing Sunday where Mom and Dad can have fun with the kids along, from Scooby Doo Live! Musical Mysteries at the Dolby Theatre to Winnie the Pooh running back to back with a more traditional version of Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure at the Promenade Playhouse in Santa Monica, or Disney on Ice: Treasure Trove in Ontario.

Finally if you’re on a budget, Catherine Hamm, Travel Editor from the LA Times has some ideas….listen and Happy Mother’s Day to all.
