Police: Argument leaves 3 dead in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES (AP) – An argument that got out of hand led to a shooting on Friday that killed three men and wounded a fourth person south of downtown, police said.
Officers answering 911 calls about eight or nine shots being fired went to an apartment building in the Harbor Gateway area shortly after 5:30 a.m. and found three men dead inside the building.
Their names were not immediately released.
Another man, believed to be 35 to 40 years old, was found about two blocks away and was hospitalized for a leg wound.
“It appeared like he was approaching vehicles and was just trying to get a ride out of the area,” Sgt. Rudy Lopez told KTTV-TV.
The man, whose name was not released, was being questioned about his possible involvement in the shooting but was not cooperating, Lopez said.
No suspects were being sought, he said.
Witnesses said all four men knew each other, and the shooting was an argument gone wrong, the sergeant said.
