Here are the news maker interviews you missed (or want to hear again) from this morning’s edition of LA’s Morning News with Penny Griego and Phil Hulett.

5:32 a.m. – NBC Washington reporter, Bob Costantini updated LA’s Morning News on the multiple Congressional inquiries into the Obama Administration…and today, the President gets out of town to try and change the subject.

6:32 a.m. – President Obama is in Maryland to talk jobs and education, but back at home in Washington, all the talk is about the IRS, the Justice Department and Benghazi. CNN’s Candy Crowley offered her analysis.

7:32 a.m. – Days ahead of Tuesday’s Mayoral runoff election in Los Angeles, City Councilman Eric Garcetti checked in to make a last minute plea for your vote.

7:42 a.m. – Fandango’s Harry Medved talks blockbuster movies; a bunch are coming through the summer.  This weekend is no different with “Star Trek: Into Darkness” opening with big ticket sales demand.

8:12 a.m. – Is it better to buy or rent? Real Estate expert Jonathon Lansner comments on a new survey that may surprise you.

8:52 a.m. – Tomorrow the Ocean Institute in Dana Point officially opens the doors of the Maddie James Seaside Learning Center. Penny and Phil spoke to Kajsa James is with the Ocean Institute, she fought back tears talking about the love her daughter Maddie had for the Ocean before she died of a brain tumor at the age of 5.  Listen to her talk about how Maddie would have loved the new Learning Center that bears her name.
