Authorities are asking for the public’s help this morning in the search for a parolee who allegedly threatened to kill school children. L.A. County probation officers say 40-year-old Frank Edward Edmonds is extremely violent and poses an imminent threat.
They say he may be in Compton, South L.A. or Inglewood, where he used to live. Edmonds allegedly told staff at a mental hospital that he was thinking about killing school children, then committing suicide by cop. He was discharged from the hospital on May 6. Authorities have yet to explain why. In any event, they now want him back.
Edmonds is black, about 5 feet 10 and 180 pounds, with tattoos on his arms, chest, back, abdomen, neck and right hand. He has served three prison terms, including six years for assault with a deadly weapon. Anyone who knows where he he can be found is urged to call the L.A. County probation tipline at (855) 563-7725.
