‘Tiny Superhero Capes’ lift spirits of sick children
Robyn Rosenberger originally sewed a superhero cape for her nephew’s second birthday and one for her year-old son at the same time. She had been watching a blog about a girl with a very rare disease, when it occurred to her to send a cape to her as well as a way of cheering her up.
The idea mushroomed and for the last six months, the 28-year-old Rosenberger has been sending her “Tiny Superhero Capes” to children all over the world who are fighting illnesses and disabilities. With over 700 personalized capes already sent, she’s had to enlist the help of friends and quit her job.
