3rd woman says San Diego mayor made sexual advance
SAN DIEGO (AP) — A third woman has publicly identified herself as a target of unwanted sexual advances by San Diego Mayor Bob Filner.
The new accuser came forward as the leader of the nation’s eighth-largest city named his third chief of staff in less than two weeks.
Morgan Rose told San Diego’s KPBS Wednesday that Filner repeatedly tried to kiss her at a restaurant in 2009 during a meeting to discuss her campaign to promote child welfare. Filner was a congressman at the time.
The psychologist for the San Diego Unified School District told KPBS that Filner said, “Your eyes have bewitched me,” sat next to her, and tried to kiss her. She says she turned away and asked him to stop but that he said he wouldn’t move until she kissed him.
