WRIGHTWOOD, Calif. (AP) — U.S. Forest Service officials say a wildfire near Wrightwood in the San Gabriel Mountains is holding at 2.5 acres under an air response.

Firefighters responded to the fire at around 1 p.m. Thursday, but ground access is limited because of rough terrain.

Wrightwood is a mountain community popular with skiers located about 40 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles.
