School is back in for some and summer is wrapping up so why not make the most of one of the last weekends of it. There are a lot of fun things going on this weekend. All of the below are on Saturday, August 17th.

5 p.m. HUNTINGTON BEACH – The inaugural Ribs, Pigs and Watermelons Beer Festival and Pro Barbecue Competition will continue. The three-day event will include a kids barbecue eating competition, a watermelon seed spitting contest and live entertainment. Chapped Cheeks will perform. 30753 La Pata Road.

6:30 p.m. SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO – Take a road trip! Mission San Juan Capistrano will continue its “Music Under the Stars” summer concert series with Rod Stewart tribute artist, Atlantic Crossing. 26801 Ortega Highway.

7 p.m. SANTA MONICA – The Photographic Arts Council of Los Angeles will present “Collector’s Favorites,” an exhibition of nearly 60 photographs on loan from the private collections of council members. Featured photographers include Max Yavno, Minor White, Gary Winogrand and Graciela Iturbide. dnj Gallery at Bergamot Station, 2525 Michigan Ave., Suite J1.

7 p.m. LOS ANGELES – The Da Camera Society and American Contemporary Ballet will conclude this season’s “Music+Dance: L.A.” with live chamber music and original contemporary ballets. ACB DanceSpace, 5900 Wilshire Blvd.
