LA County deputies arrested for camping gunplay
CHINO, Calif. (AP) — Two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies have been arrested for allegedly pulling guns and shooting during a weekend dispute at a Chino campground.
The Los Angeles Times says it happened during an apparently booze-fueled dispute between two camping groups over loud music.
Chino police say they were called to Prado Regional Park early Sunday morning and arrested the men on suspicion of negligent discharge of a firearm.
Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore says the off-duty deputies brandished their guns in a threatening manner and fired into the air.
Nobody was hurt but the men have been relieved of duty with pay during the investigation.
