Man sought in freeway death case turns himself in
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A man suspected to have been driving a car that a woman jumped or was pushed from before she was struck and killed on a Southern California freeway has turned himself in to police.
City News Service reports that 26-year-old Ricardo Jimenez turned himself in Saturday after learning he was wanted for questioning.
Authorities were searching for him after 22-year-old Maria Josefina Jimenez was ejected from the passenger side of a red Toyota Thursday and was killed by oncoming traffic.
The two are not related but Los Angeles police say Jimenez was allegedly having an affair with the married woman.
Police say witnesses saw the pair at a local tattoo parlor before midnight and that Ricardo Jimenez berated her in front of others.
