LOS ANGELES (CNS) – A 10-year-old boy has died after suffering a severe head injury when a modified golf cart overturned in a Beverly Park gated community, a coroner’s official said today.
The coroner’s department got word of the boy’s death from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center around 4:40 p.m. Sunday, said coroner’s Lt. Joe Bale.
The crash was reported at 2:36 p.m. Sunday at 57 Beverly Park, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The modified golf cart was carrying two men and three boys when it overturned, Humphrey said.
A 10-year-old boy suffered a severe head injury and was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in grave condition. The other four occupants were taken to a hospital to be assessed but did not appear to be injured
