LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Both directions of the San Diego (405) Freeway in Sepulveda Pass will be closed tonight to allow for pouring of the concrete deck of the second half of the new Skirball Drive Bridge.

Partial southbound lane closures will start 10 p.m. Saturday. The southbound freeway will be off limits beginning at Valley Vista Boulevard from 1 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. Sunday, Dave Sotero of Metro said.

Northbound partial lane closures will also begin at 10 p.m. Saturday. The full northbound closure will be at Getty Center Drive from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, Sotero said.

In both cases, freeway traffic will be shunted to adjacent Sepulveda Boulevard and then allowed to re-enter the 405 at Skirball Center. The Skirball Center Drive Bridge above the 405 will be closed from 10 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday.
