Are you looking for some fun things to do this weekend?

For starters, this Sunday, Nov 17, 12 noon-3pm, The Swap Out is a free community stuff exchange, designed to increase participation in reuse, adding value to usable items that are normally thrown away to the landfill.
Local residents simply bring items they no longer need in good condition and can take anything they find for free.

OR, Get in the holiday spirit at the Christmas Tree Lighting at The Grove Nov. 17.  Celebrate the start to the holiday season at The Grove with the lighting of their 100-foot Christmas tree, exclusive performances from A-list musicians, season’s first snowfall and fireworks finale. Slated to perform during the ceremony are Mary J. Blige, Toni Braxton, CeeLo Green, Il Volo and Jewel along with other lively entertainment. 7:30 p.m. 189 The Grove Dr., 323.900.8080

And, there’s the Champagne Brunch at Barnsdall Art Park Nov. 17. Known for their summer Friday wine tasting and a host of other art-related evenings, Barnsdall Art Park hosts a picnic style champagne brunch on the on the west lawn of the Hollyhock House. Enjoy the warm Los Angeles Fall weather and reserve your spot to indulge in a champagne flight tasting by Silverlake Wine, brunch provided by Heirloom LA, and free pour-over coffee by Bru Coffee Bar.
