More Money for you!
Money 101, L.A.’s only live and local personal finance show with host Bob McCormick, will expand to four hours on Monday, February 24, airing weekdays from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm on KFWB NEWS TALK 980 and streaming live on KFWB.com, it was announced today by the station’s general manager Valerie K. Blackburn.
McCormick is a recognized authority on personal finance issues in Southern California. His topics cover a wide variety of issues including financial planning, technology, the workplace, shopping and saving, health, energy, taxes, Social Security – the list goes on and on. McCormick’s fast-paced show features compelling content that goes beyond the headlines and focuses on how these issues influence our lives in Southern California.
“Our listeners are going to enjoy hearing more of one of the most useful and interesting programs on the radio,” Blackburn said. “Bob is incredibly informed and totally in-touch with the money issues we all face. This show provides invaluable information we can all use every single day.”
Money 101 is one of the most popular programs on KFWB NEWS TALK 980 and KFWB.com. The expanded local programming replaces the nationally syndicated Dave Ramsey Show. “We have enjoyed a great relationship with Dave Ramsey and his team. They are consummate professionals and Dave did a great job for us,” said Andy Ludlum, KFWB Program Director. “It was a good partnership, but the opportunity to add more local programming to super serve our listeners prevailed.”
As part of the exciting, new station line up, L.A.’s Morning News with Penny Griego and Phil Hulett will now be heard from 6:00 am to 10:00 am.
KFWB, operated by the KFWB Asset Trust, showcases a live and local lineup featuring “The News You Need and the Information You Can Use.” The Monday – Friday primetime lineup features L.A.’s Morning News with Penny Griego and Phil Hulett from 6:00 – 10:00 am; Money 101 with Bob McCormick from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm; Business Rockstars with Ken Rutkowski from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and L.A.’s Afternoon News with Maggie McKay and Michael Shappee from 4:00 – 7:00 pm.
